Autogiro d'Italia 2025

From the 14th to the 20th of September 2025

Route description

From Sanremo to Trieste: The 2025 Autogiro d'Italia Marks a Year of Innovation

Before even having time to archive the 2024 edition, the Autogiro d'Italia is already preparing for the 2025 edition, the seventh chapter of a story that has become a classic, an author's book, and a staple event in the world of classic car rallies. It holds a special place in the hearts of vintage car enthusiasts, travelers, and those who love to experience unique moments of camaraderie.

2025 will be the year of the Sanremo – Trieste route!

This edition will represent a significant change in several respects: for the first time, the participants will not return to the city they departed from a week earlier (Sanremo in this case), as has traditionally been the case. Instead, they will head to a new destination more than 1,600 kilometers away—Trieste.

The departure from the City of Flowers is scheduled for September 14,

September 14, while the arrival in Trieste is expected on Saturday, September 20th.  The number of stages remains the same—six stages—that will take the participants to Castiglione d'Asti, Saronno, Bormio, Brunico, and Tarvisio, before finally reaching the magnificent Gulf of Trieste.

This edition will also introduce some novelties, such as the ASI Relay: in this case, some crews selected by the ASI (Italian Historic Automobile Club) from the stage cities will precede the participants, carrying the Autogiro d'Italia trophy, which will later be handed over to the winner.

The Autogiro d'Italia continues to evolve, yet it never loses sight of the core values that have defined it until now: a love and passion for cars, culture, exceptional food and wine, and above all, a deep desire to have fun together in a spirit of conviviality. In 2025, all of this will take place as we travel across Italy from west to east, from the Ligurian Sea to the Adriatic, crossing the most beautiful Alpine passes, and chasing the sun along the way.

Inspiration

We find our inspiration in the great Italian tradition of time-distance-speed races that have been held in Italy since the early nineties.

These epic races featured men and automobiles as key players, capable of writing the history of a uniquesport that saw them race on public open roads.
