Autogiro d'Italia is ready for its sixth edition, which, in 2024, proposes new routes and territories in the heart of the Italian peninsula, starting and ending in Arezzo. Six stages, covering approximately 1600 kilometres along roads that will, as always, showcase unique and incomparable landscapes. Therefore, from May 5th to 11th, it's time again for what has become a classic in the world of granfondo races.
At the home of Vasari, this is the theme for the 2024 Autogiro, which will start from Arezzo, celebrating the 450th anniversary of the death of one of the greatest figures of the Renaissance. Our journey will therefore begin in an iconic city of modern tourism, widely considered the capital of Genius loci thanks to the famous works of renowned artists such as Cimabue, Piero della Francesca, and Vasari, along with impressive goldsmith art. Today, this city stands out in the tourism sector for its excellent hospitality and tourist offerings, along with our new partner, the Arezzo Intour Foundation.
From Arezzo we will embark on the first stage, which will take place entirely on Tuscan roads, reaching Livorno on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea—a city known for its Renaissance fortifications, the art of Pietro Mascagni, and a rich culinary tradition.
The second stage whose main feature will be the Apennines, will lead the participants to Maranello, home of the Ferrari Museum—a unique and incomparable site whose history needs no introduction and to Moden, where the beautiful Military Academy of the Italian Army, where traditional values are precious and essential for the training of future officers, will host the participants.
Gold has always been a symbol of power and beauty, so what better place to explore than the mosaics of Ravenna, destination of our third stage? The journey will take us through the natural park of the Po Delta, an explosion of Mediterranean vegetation where nature takes the stage with over two million trees representing about 150 different species.
Then, Urbino and Pesaro, where in 2024, culture will be the protagonist, making it the capital thanks to the project "The nature of culture", and then Senigallia with its Rotonda a Mare, the Sanctuary of Loreto, the Conero Park, and, if the last edition saw the summit of Mont Blanc as the highest point to reach, this year, the route goes underground. The Frasassi Caves will host the participants for a breathtaking visit along galleries and rooms adorned with stalactites, stalagmites, lakes, and waterfalls that seem to be part of a gigantic fresco.
The grand finale will once again be reserved for Arezzo. The city will bid us farewell with a grand goodbye, offering us a beautiful visit where gold finds its true form through the masterpieces displayed in the brand-new Museum of Authorial Gold. This museum draws inspiration from the finest traditions of artistic and artisanal goldsmithing.
And if beauty is indeed in the eyes of the beholder, the roads of this edition will certainly not gather dissenting opinions: beauty lies in the places of the Autogiro d'Italia 2024.

Inspiration
We find our inspiration in the great Italian tradition of time-distance-speed races that have been held in Italy since the early nineties.
These epic races featured men and automobiles as key players, capable of writing the history of a uniquesport that saw them race on public open roads.
